Materials
Good wall art lives with you for years, so the substrate matters as much as the image. Every GALLARA piece is made to order in one of three formats, each chosen for how it holds color, catches light, and ages on your wall. Here is exactly what you are bringing home.
Fine-art paper
Our paper prints are made on heavyweight, archival fine-art stock with a true matte surface. The weight gives each sheet a substantial, considered feel in the hand, the kind you notice the moment you lift it from its packaging.
We print using a pigment-based giclée process rather than everyday dye inks. Pigment sits in the fibers as fine, stable particles, which means deeper blacks, richer mid-tones, and color that resists fading over time. The matte finish reads quietly and evenly under room light, with no plastic sheen to flatten the detail.
- Surface: smooth matte, no glare, easy to view from any angle
- Inks: pigment-based for depth and lasting color
- Feel: heavyweight and archival, made to be kept
Paper prints suit rooms where you want a softer, more editorial presence, and they pair beautifully with one of our solid-wood frames.
Gallery canvas
Our canvas is printed on a textured cotton-blend weave and gallery-wrapped by hand over a solid wooden stretcher frame. The image continues around the edges, so the piece reads as a finished object from every angle and needs no additional framing to hang.
The matte canvas surface is naturally glare-free. Unlike glazed prints, there is no glass between you and the work, which keeps the texture and color present even in bright, sunlit rooms. The weave adds a subtle tactile depth that flat surfaces cannot, giving the image a painterly quality up close.
- Construction: stretched and wrapped over a solid frame
- Finish: textured, matte, free of reflection and glare
- Hanging: ready to display straight from the box
Real-wood frames and glazing
When you choose a framed paper print, the frame is made from solid, real wood, not foil-wrapped composite. We offer three finishes to sit naturally in any room: Black, White, and Natural Oak, the last with its grain left visible and warm.
Each framed piece is glazed to protect the print and give it a clean, gallery presentation. The wood is selected and finished to feel like a piece of furniture in its own right, with clean joinery and a weight that holds the print flat and square on the wall for years.
- Black: crisp and graphic, defines the image edge
- White: light and airy, recedes into pale walls
- Natural Oak: warm, grained, quietly organic
Made to order, never mass-stocked
Nothing in our collection sits in a warehouse waiting to be sold. Each piece is produced only once you order it, typically within about two to three business days, then shipped worldwide.
Making to order means you receive a print that is genuinely new, handled carefully, and finished to the same standard every time, rather than something pulled from a stack. It is a slower, more deliberate way to work, and we think it is the right one for art you intend to keep.
